Make it yours, then back it up
Pick a theme and a palette, choose the capsule or the strip, and keep your whole setup in one file.
Step by step
Export a backup first
Backup & restore saves one file with your hosts, jumps, forwards, snippets, the whole keyboard, saved layouts, themes, quick paths and known hosts. Passwords and private keys are never in it.
Where: SettingsBackup & importBackup & restore
Choose an app theme
Ten themes in five families — ink, moss, tide, dusk and night — each in dark and light. All free.
Where: SettingsAppearanceThemes & fonts
Pick a terminal palette and font
The terminal has its own palette, separate from the app theme, so you can mix freely: 10 Mochitao nature palettes free, 27 community palettes with Friends. Maple Mono NF is the default font, and Vietnamese accents line up in it.

Tune the tab bar
The floating capsule is the default: drag it anywhere, set its size from 50% to 300% and its transparency, or fold it to a dot. Prefer a fixed row of tabs? Switch to the top chip strip (Friends).

Good to know
- Export the palette you use as a JSON starting point; importing your own palette is part of Mochitao Friends.
- Importing a backup file is part of Mochitao Friends; exporting is always free.
- The app language switches between English and Vietnamese instantly, under Settings › Appearance › Language.
The floating capsule: Android only today.
