Move files without leaving the terminal
Browse the server, queue uploads and downloads, edit a game data file and fix permissions — on the same connection.
Step by step
Open Files
Open a Files tab on the host you are connected to. It uses the same SSH login, so there is nothing to sign in to again.
Where: Files
Find what you need
Walk the breadcrumbs, filter the current folder by name, sort by name or date, and show or hide hidden files. Type a path to jump straight to it.
Upload and download
Upload several files at once, or download to Downloads or a folder you choose. The transfer queue can pause, resume, retry and remove; if a file already exists, choose resume, skip, overwrite or cancel.
Edit in place
Open a text file to read or edit it and save it back. Images open with zoom, markdown switches between rendered and raw.
Fix permissions
chmod a file on a read, write and execute grid, or type the octal value. Renaming and new folders show the resulting path before you confirm.
Good to know
- Pin the folders you open most as quick paths in the host editor: up to 8 per host.
- Deleting on the server has no bin. The app says so before it deletes.
- An interrupted transfer picks up where it left off, so a dropped connection does not mean starting over.
The Files browser: Android only today.
